Hi and Thanks for stopping by and having a bit read about me.

I’m currently a 28 year old Web/Software developer who lives in rural North East England and works in Newcastle Upon Tyne (Great Commute.. Hmmm A1).

I love all things web and geeky. I started out my working career as an Apprentice engineer for a large power tool manufacturer before deciding there was more to life than shifts and aluminium castings. After looking down a few avenues I decided this building web sites thing looked fun and enrolled myself on a CIW course with computeach and have never looked back since. I never finished the course which is a shame as it was bloody expensive but i did gain a passion for buyilding websites the right way.

I started to make sites for myself and friends and family before moving on to produce some paid for sites. After looking for a while I finally landed a job with a large payroll/hr software firm where I have worked for the past 18 months. Firstly as a junior before being promoted to developer.

My job involves a wide range of technologies mostly LAMP but I’ve spent the past few months/year working on a .Net/C# project.

Outisde of work I have 3 kids 14(step son), 5 , 2 and a beautiful wife who puts up with my moods and web developing obsessions brilliantly(most of the time). These take up most of my spare time but I also enjoy watching Rugby and reading, sometimes even not-tech book (shock horror). Some of my fav’s include Terry Pratchett, Dean Koontz, Darren Shan, Gerth Nix, Dan Brown.
